About SHerna

What is SHerna?

SHerna is a project under student club Silicon Hill located at Strahov dormitories. The project is currently located in two rooms, first one at block 4 between 3rd and 4th floor and the second at block 6 - 3rd mezzanine (currently under reconstruction). These rooms can be used for free by Silicon Hill members. The only condition is to have active network membership. In these rooms you can find Play Station 4 Pro (Virtual reality, controllers and movement controllers), Xbox 360 and Play Station 2. A computer with emulators for DOC games is available as well.

Rules to use the project

Before visiting SHerna project room, it is necessary to make a reservation in reservation system. To get into the room it is necessary to have an ISIC or ČVUT card added in the system (Ms Budská at block 1 takes care of these matters).

While only one person is needed to make a reservation, several can come with, but the one who made the reservation is responsible for them. Also, when making a reservation, please fill into the form correct number of people coming, we need it for statistical purposes.

Every visitor must follow the Operating rules.

Realization of the project

2013 - first thought about project,searching for appropriate place, purchase of basic equipment.

2014 - purchase of a projector, a screen, a console, new carpet, purchase of basic equipment.

2015 -purchase of acusting isolation, gradual preparation to commissioning , emergence of facebook page.

2016 - new lamp in projector, television + emulators to PC games, PlayStation 1, 2, 3, XBox 360 - Guitar Hero + guitars, air conditioner, bean bags, possibility to charge phone and connect own device with HDMI to projector.

2017 - reconstrustion of second room at block 6, purchase of PS4 Pro with VR, cooperation with Czech VR Fest and PlayStation, participation at  Majáles 2017, event Virtual Reality SH

Purpose of the project

Purpose of the SHerna project is to provide to Silicon Hill members a place to relax and have fun in a form of recreation room equipped with projector and consoles PS4 plus with VR, PS2, Xbox 360 with Kinect and PC with emulators for DOS games. In the future, we would like to expand our equipment to have better options for better games.
